The sofa bed had been made up and there was milk in the fridge, so was able to make a cup of tea after my long drive on a Friday! The flat had character, and the 'discovered' painting on the wall in the hall provided a really interesting insight into the history of the town.

Lovely personal touches throughout, a cosy, comfortable bedroom with exposed beams - not to mention the wall paintings on the landing - and relaxing lounge/kitchen. We ate very well at the nearby Fountain Inn in Westgate St and the popular Greek on the Dock - best to book first. We would definitely return if travelling to Gloucester again.

The flat... read more itself is very cosy and had everything we needed. Had we stayed longer we would have made use of the well equipped kitchen and some of the games on the bookshelf. Jeannie was friendly, helpful and communicative. We would stay here again when visiting Gloucester and recommend it to others.

The decor is lovely and lots of thoughtful touches have been added to the house to make you feel at home as a guest.Despite being such an old building (the original beams and 1540s wall paintings were so cool) the flat has been thoughtfully renovated and kitted out. Comfortable bed and sofa, a kitchen with everything you could need to cook a proper meal, good shower pressure and easy to keep warm on a chilly day.Highly recommend both Jeannie and this property and would definitely consider staying again if I was to come back to Gloucester for a long weekend!

It had a relaxed feel to it and as a near veteran now of Airbnb accommodation, I thoroughly recommend it.
