House Rules
Welcome to Flat 1, 39a Westgate Street! We hope that guests enjoy their stay in Gloucester, and in this quirky old apartment with all its modern amenities.
To keep us all safe and on the same page, we ask guests to adhere to the following house rules:
- Check in from 3pm – earlier check-in is only possible by prior arrangement with us.
- Check out before 10am – later check out is only possible by prior arrangement.
- Smoking and vaping are forbidden in the whole building, including the stairs and entrance – guests must go right out of the building onto the street to smoke or vape. a breach of this condition may result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. It may also result in the guest being charged extra for additional cleaning.
- No lit candles or naked flames – this is a very old timber framed building, with some walls being wooden lathe and lime plaster – virtually wattle and daub, literally a tinder box. A breach of this condition will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments.
- No parties, events, or unregistered guests. A breach of this condition will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments.
- No commercial filming or photography.
- Noise must be kept to a minimum between 11pm and 7am.
- One small/medium dog is allowed by prior arrangement, for a maximum of 3 nights, at a cost of £20 per stay – this is an inner-city property with no garden.
- When you go out, make sure all the windows and doors are closed, and radiators switched off.
- Look after your keys – lost keys will incur a replacement fee.
- Breakages – accidents happen, let the owner know immediately of losses, breakages or damage to the property so that appropriate action can be taken. The owner does have the right to charge for any undeclared loss, breakage or damage discovered after you have left.
- Leave the property as you found it – as clean and tidy as possible. The owner has the right to charge for additional cleaning that may be necessary if it is left in an unacceptable condition.
- All items in the property belong to the owner and must remain in the property.
- Look after your personal belongings – the owner is not responsible for loss or damage to your property.
DOGS
- One small dog per stay, by prior arrangement, for 3 nights maximum, at a cost of £20 per stay.
- The dog owner is responsible for cleaning up after the dog both inside and outside the apartment.
- If your dog is used to being allowed on the sofa or the bed, please use a dog blanket provided to cover the furniture before allowing your dog onto it.
- The dog must always be well behaved and under control and is never to be left unattended at the property.
- Please wipe your dog’s paws when coming in from the rain.
CHILDREN
- Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. Never leave children unattended in the property.
CHECK-OUT
- By 10am unless other arrangements have been made with the owner.
- All radiators must be turned off at the wall.
- All windows and doors must be closed.
- All rubbish must be taken out to the bin store.
- Keys must be returned to the key safe.
- Please send a message to the owner to say you have left.
POINT TO NOTE
The owner, Jeannie, lives in Stroud which is a half hour drive away. Most issues can be sorted by text or call, so Jeannie will only come to the apartment during your stay if there is an emergency and/or it is necessary. This is in order to protect your privacy during your stay.
